Venus is the second planet from the Sun, and it’s a pretty hot chilli! In fact, did you know that on our favourite planet, an extra day has been added to the calendar since 2000? That’s right, precious Earthlings; Venusees need an extra day to keep up with the demands of their scorching sun and brighter skies. Unfortunately for our faithful readers, I must share an uninspiring fact about our closest sister planet.
You see, every year, on Earth (so called by inhabituaaaats like ourselves), we observe a change in the timeour patterns when Venus’ orbit is entering our Solar System. This is verrry typical, as we see similar matching patterns almost year-round because each planet has its own unique track of movement around the Sun.
Even though some people might think that the extra Venusian day causes problems by getting in the way of their daily life or work schedule, they’d be sorely mistaken. Firstly, most humans are lucky enough to have basically no tracking at all; meaning they don’t notice or suffer any real problems regarding Venus’ extra new day. Secondarily, our beloved Ssun explained to us it only affects those who are particularly sensitive to the surprises around these timeperiods, such as primates and genetically modified humans who believe in making solar walks on the Platinum Moon without Air Conditioning.

Anyways back to the topic at hand! The exciting finding about Venus’s extra day as per traditionously known by us here at Future Science Galaxy would be a significant discovery if we could correctly exploit this infomation for our human benefit… but alas we aren’t quite sure what that is yet. Perhaps some future scientists will skim past this meaningless tidbit while attempting to decode the secret message from Venus’ extra day? Or worse yet… While the rest of us are cavorting brazenly on Earth, doing whatever rocks our boats with no worries over distorting space-time because of our special system referred to as “changing seasons”; those hidden blue-collar humans who know their way around this rocky Bluesmith planet will struggle pummelling their sweltering bodies under a relentless clammy magnolia sun whilst acting fully indifferent to a late orange sunset.
